High Performance Computing

Academic groups and industrialists alike can cost effectively boost their productivity with high-performance computing. The Advanced Research Computing Group has leading-edge expertise in transforming scientific codes to run much faster on a parallel system - in many cases tens or hundreds of times faster - whatever the application. Simulations run on parallel systems can often be performed overnight saving weeks or even months in development time, and the model's resolution can be enhanced.

By obtaining better solutions faster, industrialists can reduce their development time and enjoy reduced costs in the research and development process. Academic groups can achieve similar benefits. The quicker a simulation, or the greater resolution or the improved physics it possesses, the better the group can compete on the international research scene.
