IWOX VIII

IWOX VIII will be held on 15 - 20 January 2012 at the Hotel Tuc Blanc, Baqueira Beret, Spain.

Conference Scope

The IWOX workshop series is the leading international forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge basic research in the physics and chemistry of oxide surfaces. Since its inception in 1999, after the Les Houches oxide conference in France in 1997 ("IWOX-0"), IWOX workshops have been held every two years and have consistently attracted the best minds in oxide surface science from the US, Europe and Asia. Previous workshops were held in Germany (1999), New Mexico, US (2001), Japan (2003), France (2005), California, US (2007), Schladming, Austria (2009) and Japan (2010). The 8th workshop in 2012 will be held in Spain. Areas of interest for IWOX workshop have now become broader and broader. In addition to Oxide Surface Structure the themes of IWOX VIII will be: Buried Interfaces, Photochemistry, Catalysis, Growth and the Liquid Solid Interface.
