CCP4 CCP4 Study Weekend

Venue, Accommodation, Registration

University of Reading, Whiteknights Campus

Lying in the heart of the Thames Valley, just 60km west of London, Reading offers the best of town life with the peace of some of England's finest countryside. It is not a place that rests on its history and while it boasts the remains of one of England's largest and richest abbeys, the burial place of Henry I and a heritage dating back to Roman times, it accommodates its modernity with ease.

The University of Reading continues to be a popular choice for Study Weekend - this is the third time that Study Weekend has used the facilities at Reading.

Car Parking

Due to recent changes at the University, all vehicles on the main campus are required to display a University vehicle permit if parking on the campus between the hours of 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday. A permit is not required in the evening or at weekends.

There is still no charge for conference delegates to park on the campus, and the permit is free of charge to visitors and conference delegates.

If delegates attending the CCP4 Study Weekend need to bring their vehicle onto the campus they must display a current temporary permit. Note - permits are not required for the Halls of Residence, but are required on the main campus. If delegates are parking at the Halls and leaving their vehicles at the Halls, they do not require a permit.

Delegates may also obtain a permit by stopping at the University Reception in Whiteknights House (they will be directed by the Traffic Controller at the entrance gate, to the 20 minute parking bays) and registering for a permit personally.

Any vehicle not adhering to the new regulations will be fined.

There are a limited number of ensuite rooms available on a bed and breakfast rate at the Comfort Inn off campus - the rates are as follows:

Single en suite - £45.00 per night
