DL Visualize v3 (r718) - Known Problems
-
If you use Load property with CRYSTAL to load band structures and
density of states calculations the energy axes will probably be
inconsistent. This is because CRYSTAL adjusts the band structure axis to set
the fermi energy to 0 (and can be wrong if used with level shifting if Ef is
not recalculated by the properties code). You may need to use Edit ->
Data to adjust these manually. If DLV has run the job then it can
adjust these properties to be consistent.
Linux
- Error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.4
DLV v3.0 uses the openmotif-2.3 libraries. Most current distributions
include these but the package is not always installed. (The extras
package on the download page provides a copy if you are unable to find
one for your Linux distribution).
- If dialog widgets have buttons labelled UI_OK/UI_CANCEL rather than
Ok/Cancel, try adding setenv LANG C to the
startup script ($DLV_ROOT/bin/dlv).
- When using the wheel on a wheel mouse as the middle button you
may see error messages from OMenum about invalid enum
object values involving Root...ViewEvents.buttonType. This
is because you have accidently rotated the wheel and DLV does not
recognise these mouse events. These errors can be ignored.
Windows
- There is currently a bug in the Use Transform Editor option for
moving/inserting atoms so this functionality has been disabled.
